SAN ANTONIO — Multiple people were apprehended when a Stevens High School student was assaulted at a convenience store near the west-side Monday afternoon, according to Northside ISD officials.
The district’s assistant superintendent of communications, Barry Perez, said officers with Northside ISD and the San Antonio Police Department responded to the incident, although circumstances surrounding the assault are unclear. The high school was briefly placed on lockdown as law enforcement responded, as was nearby Murnin Elementary School.
The student’s condition is unknown and police have not yet said how many could be facing charges.
