Officials: Two detained after man is shot in downtown San Antonio early Saturday morning

The victim was expected to be OK after San Antonio police said he was shot twice.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio authorities say two people were detained for questioning after a man was found shot downtown early Saturday morning.  

Police were already in the area of the 200 block of College Street around 2:40 a.m. when they heard gunshots ringing out at a nearby parking garage, according to officials on scene. They responded and found the unidentified man, who had been shot twice. 

Law enforcement soon found two suspects who were detained for questioning after securing the parking garage; it’s unknown at this point if they’re facing charges in connection with the shooting. 

The victim was taken to a local hospital and is expected to be OK.
