The iconic America’s Sweethearts will bring their limited Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders LIVE! tour to the Alamo City this spring. Here’s what fans can expect.
SAN ANTONIO — Get ready to be thunderstruck San Antonio! America’s Sweethearts are bringing their iconic kicks, high-energy routines and behind-the-scenes moments to the Alamo City this spring.
As part of their limited Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders LIVE! tour, the internationally-acclaimed DCC will hit the stage on Sunday, April 12 at 7 p.m. at the Tobin Center’s H-E-B Performance Hall.
Organizers say the show is one of just nine tour dates across Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas, giving local fans a rare chance to experience the squad up close.
Each 90-minute performance features electrifying routines, including the fan-favorite “Thunderstruck,” along with never-before-seen solo and group performances, live Q&A sessions and personal stories from Senior Director Kelli Finglass, Head Choreographer Judy Trammell and current cheerleaders.
One of the most unique elements of the show returns for a second year in which select Round 2 auditions will take place live on stage, giving audiences the chance to watch potential future Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders compete in real time, according to venue officials. Judges and fans alike will help determine who advances to the final round at The Star in Frisco.
Finglass says the tour creates a special connection between the cheerleaders and fans.
“There’s something really special about a tour like this one,” Finglass said in a press release. “It creates an intimate experience where we can interact, laugh and celebrate with fans in a way that feels completely different from gameday.”
Known for their “often imitated, never equaled” beauty, style and athleticism, the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders have been a pop culture staple since the 1960s, with appearances in television specials, films and most recently Netflix’s “America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
