Old Lone Star Brewery sees another fire; officials say trash, cold may be factors

In our last report in September, there had been 10 fires at the brewery in the last four years.

SAN ANTONIO — The Old Lone Star Brewery caught fire once again Tuesday night, SAFD says.

People walking by saw the building located at 200 West Jones Avenue on fire.

Fire officials say the fire may have started because of trash and people trying to stay warm.

Fire crews had to be careful putting out the flames because parts of the building have collapsed ceilings and walls.

KENS 5 has previously reported this has been a trouble spot for firefighters.
