Olympian Anna Hall, Giants WR Darius Slayton announce engagement

Hall, one of the world’s foremost runners, accepted the proposal on the field where she met NFL wide receiver Darius Slayton for the first time.

WASHINGTON — New York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton is ending the year with a ring — even if it’s not the Super Bowl kind.

Slayton, 28, and Anna Hall, a U.S. Olympic runner and reigning world champion in the heptathlon, announced their engagement Friday night in a shared Instagram post. The NFL veteran proposed on the same track where the couple first met.

“My whole entire heart,” Hall captioned the post, which included photos of the moment Slayton got down on one knee. “In the exact place we first met i got to say yes to me & you forever ❤️.”

The final slide featured a short video of Hall holding up her emerald-cut engagement ring in front of Slayton.

Slayton also shared the proposal to his Instagram story, joking: “I made sure not to wear all white.”

The engagement quickly drew well-wishes from teammates, fellow athletes and Olympians. Fellow Giants player Cam Skattebo commented, “Congratulations baby !!!!!❤️,” while quarterback Jaxson Dart added, “Mom and Dad❤️.”

Hall’s peers in the Olympic community also chimed in, including Jamaican sprinter Junelle Bromfield, who is engaged to U.S. star Noah Lyles, and gymnasts Suni Lee, Leanne Wong and Kayla DiCello.

“congrats!!!🥹🥹🤍,” Lee wrote.

Slayton and Hall began dating in 2024 and made their relationship public last November when they posted photos together on Instagram.

Hall, 23, is among the most accomplished multi-event athletes in U.S. track and field. She won the heptathlon world title in 2025 after earning silver in 2023 and bronze in 2022.

Hall overcame a knee surgery in early 2024 and secured her spot at the Paris Olympics by winning the heptathlon at the U.S. trials. She finished fifth at the 2024 Games.

Slayton, drafted by the Giants in the fifth round in 2019, re-signed with the team in March on a three-year, $36 million contract. He has recorded 23 receptions for 343 yards this season but will miss Sunday’s home matchup against the Green Bay Packers due to a hamstring injury.
