Police say officers were responding to a shots fired call when they found two victims.
SAN ANTONIO — A late-night shooting at a northwest side apartment complex has left one man dead and another fighting for his life.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, officers were called around 2:45 a.m. Friday to the 800 block of Babcock Road at the La Risa Apartments for reports of gunfire.
When officers arrived, they found two men who had been shot.
Police say one victim suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second man was found wounded nearby and was taken to University Hospital in critical condition.
Authorities say there is no suspect information at this time, and a motive remains unclear.
Detectives are continuing to investigate.
San Antonio Fire Department and EMS also responded.
