One person critically injured in crash on southwest side, SAFD says

The initial call did come out just before 3 a.m. as a vehicle fire on I-35 near Somerset and Cassin Road.

SAN ANTONIO — An early morning crash Tuesday sent one to the hospital and caused some lane closures on I-35 on the southwest side of town as officials worked to investigate and clear the scene.

It happened around 3 a.m. on I-35 near Somerset Road and Cassin Road. It appears that a car crashed into an 18-wheeler, causing the lanes to be blocked.

One person was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
