SAN ANTONIO — One person has died after being struck by a vehicle on the northeast side Thursday morning, according to the Schertz Police Department.
The incident occurred on the 5800 block of Schertz Parkway around 6:00 a.m.
Officials say they received reports of a collision involving a pedestrian who had died. Investigators say the pedestrian was a flagger of a nearby business and was attempting to block the roadway, according to a press release.
A vehicle was traveling southbound on Schertz Parkway and did not see the pedestrian until the crash took place, officials say. The driver did stop at the scene.
Schertz Parkway was temporarily closed.
