Palo Alto College hosting Mother’s Day serenade concert for moms and abuelas

Families can treat mom to a night where the trumpets sing, the violins sparkle and love takes center stage.

SAN ANTONIO — Palo Alto College is turning up the cariño and tuning up the guitarrón for a Mother’s Day celebration that promises to strike all the right chords.

The college will host “Serenata Para Las Madres,” a special concert honoring moms, grandmothers and the leading ladies of the family on Wednesday, May 6 at 7 p.m. inside the Performing Arts Center Auditorium. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Taking the stage will be Mariachi Potrillo and Mariachi Palomino, joined by special guests Somerset Junior High Mariachi.

Expect heartfelt songs, toe-tapping rhythms and at least a few moms pretending they’re not crying.

General admission is $10, and children 12 and under get in free.

Proceeds will support the PAC Mariachi Program, helping students keep this beloved tradition singing for generations to come.

So grab mamá, gather the family and get ready for a night where love is loud, proud and probably in perfect harmony.
