There will be plenty to do in Austin when the Spurs take over the capital of Texas.
SAN ANTONIO — The NBA announced that the 2025 NBA Paris Games continue to set records across TV viewership and digital and social media engagement.
According to the league, it was the most-viewed NBA Global Games ever on social media, generating more than 718M views across all platforms.
In addition, it was the most-watched NBA game ever on television in France (both games aired live on beIN SPORTS and Canal+). NBA League Pass viewership was up 29% in France compared to last year’s Paris Game.
The San Antonio Spurs capitalized on the event by helping break ground on two new basketball courts in Victor Wembanyama’s hometown, hosting multiple fan events (including a Spurs pop-up shop), and attending the Paris Fashion Show.
“SPURS WEEK” FESTIVITIES ACROSS AUSTIN ANNOUNCED
The Spurs announced the schedule for Spurs Week, their signature week-long celebration tied to the third annual I-35 Series in Austin.
There will be plenty to do in Austin when the Spurs take over the city.
The team’s 2024-25 Spurs Week will run from Sunday, Feb. 16 through Friday, Feb. 21. It will include a curated lineup of community and fan engagement events leading up to the February 20 and 21 games at Moody Center, bringing NBA basketball to the city as part of the team’s vision to purposefully celebrate Spurs fans from Mexico to Austin and all points between.
“Our Austin fanbase is stronger than ever, and we can’t wait for the warm welcome back to Moody Center for the third year in a row,” said Brandon James, Senior Vice President of Strategic Growth & Deputy General Counsel at Spurs Sports & Entertainment in a release. “Through fan engagement, community impact efforts and teaming up with local businesses, Spurs Week is an opportunity for us to spotlight this incredible city and our fans that are increasingly embracing our team as their own, and we don’t take that lightly, as shown by our now annual week-long celebration of Spurs basketball in Austin.”
Events include the Play ATX court unveiling, the NBA All-Star Game Watch Party, a Pregame tailgate at Downright Austin and more.
