South Texas Blood & Tissue will host a two-day community blood drive to tackle Spring Break blood shortage.
SAN ANTONIO — South Texas Blood & Tissue is hosting a community blood drive on Tuesday Mar. 12 and Wednesday Mar. 13 at Ingram Park Mall.
The drive is aimed at preventing blood shortages during Spring Break, a time when the community often sees a decrease in the blood supply as students and faculty are out of school.
South Texas Blood & Tissue says patients in the community rely daily on blood donors to treat their various medical conditions.
All presenting donors at the Ingram Park Mall blood drives will receive the following as thank-you gift for giving back to patients in need:
