Pedestrian hospitalized after being struck by vehicle east of downtown, SAPD says

The driver remained at the scene and was cooperating with investigators, according to officials.

SAN ANTONIO — A person was taken to a hospital Friday night after being struck by a minivan on the city’s east side, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

SAPD said officers responded around 9:21 p.m. to the 2000 block of East Houston Street, just east of downtown, where a vehicle had hit a pedestrian. The driver remained at the scene and was cooperating with investigators, according to officials.

The victim was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition, police said. No other injuries were reported.

The investigation remains ongoing.
