Police say a pedestrian was killed after being struck by a train on West Martin Street Saturday morning.
SAN ANTONIO — A pedestrian was killed Saturday morning after being struck by a train on the west side near downtown, according to San Antonio police.
Officers were called to the 1200 block of West Martin Street around 10:28 a.m. for a major accident involving a train and a person on the tracks.
Police said it is still unclear how the pedestrian ended up on the train tracks. The person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The pedestrian has not been identified at this time.
The incident remains under investigation.
