People gather for ‘Not My President’ protest outside San Antonio City Hall

The protest began at noon.

SAN ANTONIO — Several people gathered outside San Antonio City Hall Monday as part of a peaceful protest against President Donald J. Trump and his administration’s policies. 

Bexar County Democrats, local activists and several citizens in cooperation with 50501 (“Fifty states, fifty protests, 1 day) voiced their concerns and beliefs along Military Plaza. The protest was scheduled to begin at noon. 

The protesters said they are making a stand against Trump and “his agenda to dismantle American democracy and democracy around the world,” along with “calling out the extreme, far-right policies,” according to a press release. 

Several of the protesters held various signs alluding to Trump, Elon Musk and other political figures. 

50501 is a national grassroots movement that stands against the “destruction of the country.”
