SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio fire officials say crews responding to a car fire Tuesday evening extinguished the flames only to find a body in the charred vehicle.

The victim has not yet been identified after first responders were dispatched to the area of Moursund and East Gillette boulevards around 7:30 p.m. That’s just north of Loop 410 on the south side.

According to a San Antonio Fire Department spokesperson, investigators on the scene were still working to determine what caused the fire as of 9:15 p.m.
