PHOTOS: East Texas NICU babies celebrate Christmas with Santa, stockings and the Grinch!

TYLER, Texas — Babies in NICUs across East Texas are in the Christmas holiday spirit! At the four hospitals in Tyler and Longview, the staff dressed up the babies in everything Christmas related from elf wear and Santa hats to stockings and presents.

Over at Christus Mother Frances Hospital, the tiny tots each received their own special photoshoot and a visit from Santa Claus himself.

At Christus Good Shepherd Hospital in Longview, the babies were dressed as little elves, reindeer and a snowman, but instead of Santa, they got a visit from the Christmas thief – The Grinch.

“While he might have stolen Christmas in the past, today, the Grinch was giving it back tenfold—delivering smiles, cuddles, and a reminder to all our little Christmas characters in NICU that they are loved and thought of this holiday season,” Good Shepherd said in a Facebook post.

Over at UT Health East Texas in Tyler, Santa also made a stop to visit the little ones snuggled up in stockings with care.

“This joyful tradition reminds us of the strength, hope and miracles that surround us every day,” UT Health East Texas said in their post.

Santa then hopped over to Longview to see the NICU babies at Longview Regional Medical Center to see the tiniest patients and their families.

“Our NICU babies had their first Christmas Eve with Santa, creating memories full of love, joy, and holiday magic. It was truly a heartwarming moment to cherish forever,” LRMC said in their post.
