
Residents near Sisterdale should expect visible smoke Sunday due to a training burn by the local fire department aimed at enhancing response skills.
SISTERDALE, Texas — Residents in Sisterdale and surrounding areas may notice smoke and fire activity Sunday as part of a planned training exercise.
The Sisterdale Volunteer Fire Department announced it will conduct a prescribed burn for training purposes from approximately 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Platten Creek and FM 1376 area, which is northwest of San Antonio
Fire officials said the burn is a scheduled exercise designed to help crews maintain readiness and improve response capabilities.
Residents are advised that smoke may be visible during the training, but officials stress there is no cause for concern and no action is needed.
Fire officials thanked the community for its understanding as crews carry out the planned operation.
