Pleasanton PD warns about ‘possible foreign substance’ in banana bread being sold throughout city

If you see any suspicious banana bread sales, you are asked to report it to Pleasanton police.

SAN ANTONIO — The Pleasanton Police Department issued a public safety notice after reports of suspicious banana bread in the city, according to their Facebook page. 

Police said they are investigating after reports of a “possible foreign substance” was found in banana bread that was being sold in the Pleasanton area. 

Authorities are urging citizens and visitors to not purchase any banana bread from people selling it door-to-door, in parking lots or while going business to business. 

Pleasanton PD said if you encounter anyone selling banana bread under these circumstances, to please report it to their office.
