UVALDE, Texas — Police are adding more officers on Uvalde CISD campuses on Wednesday due to threats.
It’s another level of security the department says as they investigate online posts targeting the district.
We don’t know the nature of these alleged social media posts, however the Uvalde Police Department only described them as disturbing.
And the district hasn’t provided any more information.
They only reshared what Uvalde police posted on to their Facebook page.
We do know they are working with district police to address the situation.
And that additional patrols will be on campuses to ensure safety.
Now this comes a day after a third grader was caught with a BB gun at school.
It happened at Flores Elementary School during bus pickup.
The BB gun wasn’t loaded, but the district says the boy pointed it at another student. The student will not be allowed to return to school while the district investigates.
As for the social media posts, we are working to get more information on those.
We will keep you updated when we hear back.
