Demarqeyun Cox, 33, is accused of vandalizing three Tesla vehicles across Texarkana, TX.
TEXARKANA, Texas — A Texarkana man was arrested Tuesday after allegedly damaging multiple Tesla vehicles across the city.
Texarkana, Texas Police said the first incident occurred at a Golden Place restaurant on Summerhill Road. Surveillance footage from the Tesla captured a four-wheeler intentionally ramming the Tesla at full speed.
As officers were searching for the suspect, police received a report of another Tesla damaged in the Lowe’s parking lot. Police spotted Demarqeyun Cox, 33, riding a four-wheeler near Summerhill and New Boston Roads and recognized him as the suspect from the footage captured previously.
When police apprehended Cox, he reportedly gave a false name, but was quickly identified and taken into custody.


After Cox’s arrest, police received another report of a damaged Tesla near Genesis Prime Care on College Drive.
Cox is charged with one count of felony criminal mischief and failure to identify. Police are investigating the other two incidents Cox is accused of, and faces additional charges for their damages.
Cox is held in the Bi-State Jail.
