SAN ANTONIO — Police believe racing may be to blame for a multi-vehicle crash north of downtown late Sunday night that sent two women to the hospital.
It happened around 10 p.m. on San Pedro Avenue near Cage Avenue, close to Oblate Drive. Police believe the cars were racing when they crashed. There were actually three vehicle involved, but one of them took off before police arrived.
Officers say that a passenger in one of the cars suffered a broken leg and was taken to University Hospital. The woman driving the other car was also taken as a precaution due to chest pain, which was probably from the seatbelt.
For now, police tell us the crash is under investigation.
This is a developing story.
