
Authorities were still looking for the gunman hours later.
SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police are searching for a suspect after a fast-food employee was shot during a robbery early Sunday morning on the south side of San Antonio, according to officials.
Officers were dispatched around 12:55 a.m. to a Jack in the Box in the 3700 block of South Zarzamora Street for a robbery in progress, the San Antonio Police Department said. When officers arrived, they found a 44-year-old man with an apparent gunshot wound to the torso.
Police said an unknown man entered the restaurant and robbed it before firing a shot at the employee. The suspect then fled the area before officers arrived.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities previously said the employee was in stable condition.
No suspects have been arrested as of yet and the investigation remains ongoing.
