Police investigating after man found fatally shot on southwest-side

SAPD does not have a description of the suspect at this time.

SAN ANTONIO — A young man is dead after being found with at least three gunshot wounds on the southwest side of town early Thursday morning.

San Antonio Police were called out to the 200 block of Carranza Street, not far from Frio City Road, around 3 a.m. for reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to University Hospital with at least three bullet wounds, in critical condition. Officials tell us he died at the hospital.

Police say they found at least one shell casing at the scene, but aren’t sure exactly what happened. There were no witnesses and no nearby cameras caught any activity.
