
SAPD said officers found the man lying on a sidewalk in a parking lot outside a Starbucks with a gunshot wound to the upper part of his body.
SAN ANTONIO — A 28-year-old man was taken to a hospital after being shot during an altercation on the northwest side Friday morning, San Antonio police said.
According to SAPD, officers were called around 7:30 a.m. to the 1000 block of Vance Jackson Road for a reported shooting in progress. When officers arrived, investigators said they learned the shooting had actually occurred earlier in the morning at the 3600 block of Fredericksburg Road.
Police said officers found the man lying on a sidewalk in a parking lot outside a Starbucks with a gunshot wound to the upper part of his body. The man told officers he had been involved in an altercation with a woman on Fredericksburg Road when an unknown man shot him, according to SAPD.
The victim was unable to identify either the woman involved in the argument or the shooter, police said. He was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were described as non-life-threatening.
No suspect has been identified and police said the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain unclear.
The investigation is ongoing.
