Police respond to fatal shooting in west San Antonio

SAPD said a male victim in his 30s or 40s was found dead in the street with multiple gunshot wounds.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police are investigating a fatal shooting on the city’s west side Monday afternoon, where an unidentified man was found with multiple gunshot wounds. 

Officials said officers were conducting a traffic stop when they heard gunshots nearby, at the intersection of Coronado Avenue and Ceralvo Street. Police headed to the location and found the man, said to be in his 30s or 40s, dead in the street. 

The victim had been shot in the upper torso, according to police.

Police are still looking for a suspect, however, and are working to investigate what led up to the gunfire.
