The victim, who has not yet been identified, died at the scene.
SAN ANTONIO — A man was fatally struck by a driver while he was walking in the main lanes of I-35 on the northeast side, police say.
It happened around 9:23 p.m. Friday in the 7000 block of the northbound lanes of I-35, near Eisenhauer Road.
Police say the victim was reported walking north on the far-right lanes of the interstate, where pedestrians are prohibited.
The victim was struck by a driver in a 2020 Ford EcoSport that was traveling north on the highway. That driver stopped to render aid and cooperated with police.
The victim, who has not yet been identified, died at the scene.
Police say there are no criminal charges pending.
