Ronnie Jay Salas was taken in to custody on May 15 in connection to the death of Andre Montera, 24.
SAN ANTONIO — An accused killer is finally behind bars after he was arrested in another state, according to online records.
Ronnie Salas, 22, was arrested in connection to the death of 24-year-old Andre Montera.
Officers responded to the 100 block of Ames Avenue for a shooting on April 23.
When police got to the location, they found Montera shot. He was rushed to the hospital where he later died.
Police launched a manhunt for Salas, who they believed was hiding in an apartment complex a block away from the murder scene. But they found out Salas had already taken off.
He was arrested earlier this month in another state and is now facing a murder charge.
