
Officers say she ran away following the crash, but they were able to locate her and take her into custody.
SAN ANTONIO — A woman has been arrested and charged with DWI after police say she crashed her vehicle into a building east of downtown Saturday afternoon.
It happened around 2:30 p.m. in the 2500 block of East Houston Street near North Walters Street.
Police say the Tempestt Newton, 35, allegedly drove into a business damaging the store. Nobody was injured inside the store.
Newton ran off following the crash without providing any information. San Antonio Police found her nearby and took her into custody.
She was arrested for DWI and failure to stop and provide information over $200.00.
