The victim, who was hit in the head, was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
SAN ANTONIO — Police are searching for the suspect who shot a man in the head late Saturday night while they were driving on the southwest side of town.
It happened around 11:25 p.m. on Valley High Drive near SW Loop 410.
Police say the victim was in a car that was driving down Valley High Drive near when another car pulled up and someone started shooting.
A passenger inside the car was struck once in the head. The driver was able to pull over at a nearby pawn shop, where they waited for help. The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
San Antonio Police, with the help from their helicopter Eagle, searched the area for the suspect but were unable to locate them.
Officers say they found shell casings in a nearby neighborhood and hope the evidence will help detectives crack the case.
No other injuries were reported.
