Police say a party was taking place at the location when someone started shooting.
VON ORMY, Texas — Police are searching for a suspect after a man was found fatally shot in the backyard of a home in Von Ormy early Saturday morning.
Police responded to the 5900 block of Lopez Valley Road around 1:30 a.m. for reports of a shooting in progress.
When officers arrived at the home, they found the victim deceased in the backyard from a gunshot wound.
According to an officer, a party with high school age students was underway when an unknown suspect began arguing with the victim then pulled out a weapon and fired off shots in the backyard.
One of the rounds struck the victim. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim had not been positively identified at this time.
SAPD Homicide is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying ” the person of interest” in the pictured image as well as any witnesses who were there that may have any videos from the night.
