Police searching for suspect who fatally shot man at family gathering on west side

SAPD says the man was driving a black Jeep and they know who they are looking for.

SAN ANTONIO — Police are searching for the suspect who fatally shot a man at a family gathering on the west side of town early Monday.

SAPD officers were dispatched to the 300 block of North Pinto Street at West Travis Street around 5:30 a.m. for reports of a shooting.

Police say the family was having a get together when some sort of argument broke out between the two men, who are reportedly cousins.

One of the cousins pulled out a weapon and shot the other one. The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Officials say the victim died from his injuries.

Police say they have security footage of the incident, so they exactly who they are looking for. That suspect drove off in black Jeep before officers arrived.

No other injuries were reported.

This is a developing story.
