Police searching for suspect who they say pepper-sprayed a store clerk on west side

Investigators say the suspect entered the store posing as a customer and tried to purchase several items.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police and Crime Stoppers are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect involved in a robbery at a Northwest Side business.

According to San Antonio Police Department, the robbery happened Tuesday, Dec. 2, at Smoke Needs & Vape, located in the 8100 block of Culebra Road.

Investigators say the suspect entered the store posing as a customer and tried to purchase several items. When the transaction was declined, the suspect allegedly sprayed the store clerk with pepper spray, then stole additional merchandise and cash before fleeing the store on foot.

No injuries were reported.

Police say they are looking for any information that could help identify and locate the suspect responsible for the robbery.

Crime Stoppers of San Antonio is offering up to $5,000 for information that leads to a felony arrest in this case.
