Police-seized items up for grabs at San Antonio auction Thursday night

From confiscated property to unexpected finds, a San Antonio police auction is giving the public a chance to bid on seized items.

SAN ANTONIO — Looking for a unique find? A San Antonio police auction is opening its doors to the public this week.

The city’s Legal Asset Seizure Detail is hosting a seized property auction Thursday, March 26, featuring items collected during police operations.

The auction will be held at VFW Post 9186, located at 650 E. White Road.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for registration and viewing, with bidding starting at 6:30 p.m.

Officials say all items must be paid for and taken home the same day. Payment is accepted by cash or credit card, though American Express is not accepted.

The Legal Asset Seizure Detail is responsible for handling and reviewing property confiscated by police to ensure all laws are followed before items are made available to the public.

A full list of auction items is available on the City of San Antonio’s website.
