Popular New Braunfels burger spot plans to expand to San Antonio in 2026

The new location is expected to be completed by September 15.

SAN ANTONIO — A fan-favorite New Braunfels burger spot announced they are expanding to the Alamo City later this year.

Muck & Fuss, known for its “elevated yet approachable’ burgers has started construction on its newest location at 2422 N. Loop 1604 West on the far north side of San Antonio. The $4.5 million restaurant will be spacious at 8,812 square-feet and is expected to be completed by September 15, according to a press release.

“Owners Terry and Celina Muckenfuss are dedicated to revitalizing downtown. Their passion for hospitality led them to restore the historic Prince Solms Inn and open the neighboring Sidecar, an elevated speakeasy-style cocktail bar tucked beneath the inn. Muck & Fuss is the perfect getaway, where guests can eat, drink, and cherish time with loved ones,” the press release states.

The original downtown eatery opened in 2019 and has since become a staple for locals and visitors in New Braunfels. At Muck & Fuss guests can choose from 38 rotating craft beers from Lone Star breweries, enjoy live music, a Biergarten and order house made burgers with bold flavors, according to the announcement.

“New Braunfels is just a short drive away, and bringing Muck & Fuss to the San Antonio market has always been a dream of ours. San Antonio is a city rooted in family and culture, and that’s exactly what we celebrate at Muck & Fuss. We’re excited to share more details as we get closer to announcing the grand opening,” Terry Muckenfuss said in the release.

Officials mentioned the menu at Muck & Fuss was developed alongside North Carolina chef Kris Fuller, the executive chef of the renowned Crafted restaurant in hopes of making the cuisine elevated yet casual.

Officials said they will soon begin the hiring process for the new location. To learn more about Muck & Fuss, click here.
