SAN ANTONIO — A driver was arrested after police say he failed to stop and render aid after hitting a vehicle with a pregnant woman inside.
Police were called to the intersection of Pecan Valley Drive and I-37 South around 11:33 p.m. Wednesday night for a crash.
A pregnant 41-year-old woman and an 18-year-old woman were inside a Jeep westbound on Pecan Valley.
Another vehicle, a Camry, was heading eastbound on Pecan Valley and turned onto the northbound access road of 1-37. That’s when police say he failed to yield the way of way to the Jeep, hitting the vehicle and allegedly fleeing the scene.
The driver of the Jeep, the 41-year-old woman, is six months pregnant and was taken to the hospital with minor non-life-threatening injuries.
The 18-year-old woman who was a passenger also suffered minor non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Camry was later found and charged with collision involving injury.
