Preschoolers at Primrose Schools across San Antonio delivered 998 books to Christus Children’s Hospital and Transformation House, helping bring comfort and joy.
SAN ANTONIO — A nationwide book drive is helping spark a love of reading for thousands of children, including right here in San Antonio.
Primrose Schools announced that families, students and staff donated more than 109,000 books this year through Og’s Bountiful Book Drive, an increase of 14,000 books from last year.
Locally, preschoolers at Primrose Schools across San Antonio delivered 998 books to Christus Children’s Hospital and Transformation House, helping bring comfort and joy to children in need.
The annual effort encourages even the youngest students to give back through hands-on service learning, showing them the impact they can have in their community.
Organizers say the program is about more than just books — it’s about building empathy and inspiring generosity at an early age.
Since 2021, the nationwide initiative has delivered more than 387,000 books to children across the country.
Leaders say they are proud of the growing participation and the joy these donations will bring to young readers.
