Brace yourself, San Antonio, a cold front is finally moving back into the Alamo City to offer reprieve from those 80-degree days. According to the National Weather Service, a cold front is moving into the area Thursday, November 9, bringing with it some rainy days.

While it hasn’t exactly felt like fall over the past week, that’s set to change according to the National Weather Service’s predictions for the rest of the week and the weekend. By Thursday, there’s an 80% chance of rain in the evening which carries over into Friday morning. All that wet weather is expected to bring with it some cooler days as the lows drop into the mid-50s and the highs stay in the 60s.

“After a cloudy morning with fog across the southern Edwards Plateau, partly cloudy skies are expected areawide with highs in the 80s,” the National Weather Service tweeted Wednesday, November 8. “A wet pattern is likely for Thursday as a cold front arrives to the local area.”

The rain and gloom are expected to continue into the weekend as Saturday and Sunday both carry between 30% and 40% chances of rain. But don’t be too bummed out, as these cloudy conditions continue to bring cooler temps to the greater San Antonio-Austin area and all the Texas Hill Country towns in between.

Next week will kick off with the same trend, with potential rain forecasted which will keep the temps ranging from mid 50s to mid-60s all day long.
