A new report says that a handful of rappers, including Drake and 50 Cent, have been registered to vote. The rappers, which also include Chris Brown, Trey Songz and The Game, are registered to a $300,000 home in Katy, Texas, the Houston Chronicle reported, and the reason why isn’t very clear.

Last year, Drake hyped up his fans about a move to Texas during his tour, but he doesn’t live at the Katy home. Neighbors were surprised by the news because they’ve never seen any of the aforementioned recording artists outside the home. In fact, the homeowners told the Houston Chronicle that they weren’t aware that the big time recording artists were registered to the house.

The Houston Chronicle says someone who knows the legal names of the artists registered them to vote in Texas in apparent prank. Amanda Ruisi, who represents 50 Cent, told the Chronicle that 50 Cent did not register to vote at the Katy residence and that his attorneys are looking into the matter.

The alleged prankster, who hasn’t been discovered, was able to register the rappers to the home because of a federal Help America Vote Act that allows someone to register to vote without a Social Security number or ID,  a second report states. Fraudulent registration, however, comes with state and federal penalties — up to one year in jail and a fine up to $4,000.

However, no one would be able to cast a vote fraudulently as Drake or Chris Brown, the Chronicle reports, because the law states that anyone who registers to vote by mail must show an ID or other acceptable document like a utility bill.

Who would Drake even vote for in Texas?
