MISSION BEND, Texas — A woman walking south on Highway 6 near Beechnut was killed in a hit-and-run crash on July 17, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. Now Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to the charging or arrest of the suspect.
The victim was identified as Jennifer Louise Pedone.
The crash happened around 9:30 p.m. in the Mission Bend area. A witness told investigators the woman had been walking with traffic in a southbound lane when a car crashed into another car before the woman was run over.
HCSO said it appeared the woman had been dragged down the road and had been hit by cars two to three times. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
One of the vehicles was described as a white or silver GMC pickup truck.
