SAN ANTONIO — Rory McIlroy has committed to play in the 2024 Valero Texas Open in San Antonio.
This will be the 102nd edition of the historic PGA tournament and it will be held at TPC San Antonio’s The Oaks course for the 14th year from April 1 to April 7, a week after the Masters.
McIlroy is ranked number two in the world of golf and is scheduled to make his third appearance in the TPC San Antonio era of the tournament. In 2013, McIlroy finished as the runner-up and is coming off of a win in the Hero Dubai Desert Classic on the DP World Tour.
Champions fore Charity is a partner of the tournament and provides charities and schools the opportunity to generate contributions through the Valero Texas Open. The program raised a record-breaking $23 million in 2023 and a grand total of $232 million in charitable giving from tournament proceeds.
Tickets for the tournament go on sale Wednesday, Jan. 24 on Ticketmaster and on the event’s website.
