Row Bear’s next pour | Mamma Bear wine will support kids with learning challenges

Row Bear wine is named after the co-founders’ son, who has autism. The profits help other kids with similar challenges.

HOUSTON — When Houstonians Bailey and Simon Haidamous decided to start a boutique wine company five years ago, they named it after their son. Row Bear is Robert’s nickname.

Robert is on the spectrum so his parents decided to donate profits to Houston charities that help children like him with learning and language challenges. They include The Parish School, Camp for All and Social Motion Skills.

Now, Row Bear’s heartfelt mission will help even more charities with the launch of Mamma Bear, a 2024 Sauvignon Blanc that will be available in retail establishments and Houston restaurants and clubs.

This fall, they’ll add Brother Bear, a 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon to the lineup.

Row Bear is produced in the Sonoma’s Alexander Valley, known for multiple 100 point wines. It’s backed by several prominent Houstonians, including Houston Astros owner Jim Crane.
