SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio will decide its next mayor as well as who will fill four City Council seats Saturday, when the runoff election hits the finish line in the Alamo City.
Early voter turnout surged, with 33.2% more ballots cast during the early voting period compared to the May election’s early voting period. That bodes well for final overall turnout, which county elections officials have said they hope reaches 13% to 15% come Saturday night. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The mayoral battle between former U.S. Air Force Under Secretary Gina Ortiz Jones and former Texas Secretary of State Rolando Pablos headlines the ballot. Races to represent City Council Districts 1, 6, 8 and 9 will also be determined.
But it all depends on San Antonians making their voices heard. More than 180 polling sites are open on Saturday, a full list of which can be found here or below.
