SA River Walk activity wins big in national poll just in time for Valentine’s Day

The poll consisted of showing 150 most unique first date destinations with 3,000 singles participating, according to the release.

SAN ANTONIO — If you think our San Antonio River Walk is a romantic place for a date you’re not alone as many consider this spot a memorable first date location, according to a national poll.

Our very own Go Rio boat rides won second place of the Most Unique ‘First Date’ Experiences in a national poll provided by DatingNews.com.

The activity won big across 150 unique ‘first date’ experiences listed in the country, according to a press release.  Although Austin won four spots and Dallas one none of those activities broke high to make it in the top 40.

San Antonio only lost to a Charleston carriage ride and historic stroll located in South Carolina ranked as the number one spot. Of course downtown San Antonio also has horse drawn carriages, just saying.

Their press release describes San Antonio’s winning first date as couples embarking on a leisurely cruise along the San Antonio River Walk and afterward sharing a romantic stroll hand-in-hand. This date beat also out a dolphin watching cruise in South Carolina and stargazing in Hawaii, not bad.

The poll consisted of showing 150 most unique first date destinations with 3,000 singles participating in the poll, according to their release.
