SA teen arrested after attacking grandmother with a knife, police say

Police said the 15-year-old boy cut his 63-year-old grandmother on the hand and face at an east-side home.

SAN ANTONIO — A 63-year-old woman was hospitalized after San Antonio police said her grandson attacked her with a knife on the city’s east side Wednesday night.

Police said the 15-year-old boy cut his grandmother on the hand and face at a home on the 4000 block of Sunrise Cove Drive.

Officials said the grandmother was treated by EMS on the scene and transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

While conducting the investigation, officials said authorities apprehended the teen for a separate unknown offense.

It is unclear at this time what led up to the attacks or what charges, if any, the teen faces.

This is a developing story.
