SAN ANTONIO — A fire ripped through what San Antonio officials say might have been a “hoarder house” on the east side Tuesday morning.
Firefighters were dispatched to the 1200 block of Rigsby Avenue for reports of a fire just after 5 a.m. Upon arrival, first responders found a woman in her 70s dead inside the home.
A GoFundMe created by the woman’s granddaughter identifies her as Maria Yolanda Stewart.
An unidentified person was taken into custody as crews got the flames under control.
The San Antonio Fire Department is now looking into the cause.
