
One of the drivers was taken to the hospital to receive medical care, but no students were hurt, according to the district.
SAN ANTONIO — A Tuesday afternoon highway crash involving two North East ISD buses caused a prolonged traffic slowdown in far north San Antonio, authorities say.
According to district officials, one of the bus drivers was taken to the hospital to receive medical care; their condition is unknown. But none of the 66 students from Tejeda Middle School riding on the buses required hospitalization after being checked out at the scene.
The crash occurred along U.S. Highway 281 North at Redland Road around 4 p.m. The exit reopened by about 6 p.m.
It is unclear at this time what caused the crash.
