SAFD: Apartment fire on southeast side displaces two families

Firefighters arrived and worked quickly on knocking down the fire and evacuating the entire building.

SAN ANTONIO — A fire at an apartment complex on the southeast side of town has displaced two families, SAFD says.

The fire broke out around 9:30 p.m. Saturday in the 4000 block of East Southcross at the Reserves at Pecan Valley.

Firefighters arrived and worked quickly on knocking down the fire and evacuating the entire building.

They were able to prevent the fire from spreading into the attic.

All but two units were allowed back into the building.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
