SAN ANTONIO — A body was found late Sunday morning while crews responded to reports of an unknown odor on the northeast side, according to the San Antonio Fire Department.
Fire officials said crews were called around 11:20 a.m. to an apartment on the 4100 block of Lennox Avenue.
When they entered the unit, officials said emergency personnel found a person who was already deceased and a small fire that had burned out before their arrival.
Arson investigators and San Antonio police are working to determine the cause of the fire and the circumstances surrounding the death.
The investigation remains ongoing.
