SAFD: Body found at Woodlawn Lake as officials start investigation

SAN ANTONIO — A body was discovered at Woodlawn Lake Thursday morning, according to officials.

A spokesperson with the San Antonio Fire Department has confirmed that they are currently “assisting in a body recovery” at the west-side lake.

Not much is known at the moment, but police were called out to the lake for a drowning just before 8 a.m.

It is not yet clear how the body was discovered or the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Two bodies were found at Woodlawn Lake in March and April.
