SAFD contains flames coming from covered parking area attached to home, officials say

No injuries were reported.

SAN ANTONIO — A fire broke out near a house in north central San Antonio Monday night, officials said. 

Fire crews rushed to the 3700 block of West Avenue around 10 p.m. after reports of a fire behind a home.

Officials say flames were coming from a covered parking area attached to a house. Firefighters arrived to find a working fire but were able to knock it down quickly before it spread.

No one was injured, and officials have not yet released a cause or damage estimate.
